The Double Sided Lug is one of the most distinctive lugs you will find on any drum. Its primary use when introduced in 1950 was used for snare drums and today a majority of all our USA factory snare drums still use this iconic lug. While Gretsch manufactured drums at its factory in Brooklyn, a number of drum kit designs used the double ended lug on rack, floor, and bass drums. Formally named the “Playboy” build, we currently offer this design as our “Heritage” build on all USA Custom and Broadkaster drums. The G5472 is offered as an aftermarket part or custom build option for your USA Custom or Broadkaster drum kit.
